A reader sent me this link about pet food. This little kitten has been hanging around Briar the last couple days. I think she's in heat and wants his attention, but he's not interested.
Message from Molly:"The other night I let Briar out at night, and left my closet window open in case he wanted to go and sleep in my closet, around 430 in the morning I heard my closet door jiggling, knowing that the house is over 100 years old I assumed it was a ghost. Then my door opened and I heard the distinct noise of something climbing up the ladder to my bed, at this point I am certain a ghost is going to kill me and bring me back to his ghost lair, but instead I am greeted by the soft fur of Briar on my face and we snuggled all through the night. It was quite romantic."Hehehe a Briar Ghost. lol
Message from Jacob:"Today I sat on a bench waiting to get picked up by a friend and something hopped up next to me was Briar the cat coming to show some love while I was lonely. I've had a couple encounters with Briar in the DMP forest. He's a rad cat and I love seeing him. I wish I had a cat like briar."Thanks Jacob. He was home all day I think he wanted to take a little adventure with you. Happy he could keep you company. :)
Message from Amber:"So now I know why Gizmo is scratching the window to get out at 6:00 am every morning. He and Briar are great friends. I had the pleasure of meeting Gizmos other family as we call Briar and "his person" . Now Gizmo has his collar so there should be no more questions as to if he has a family taking care of him. We love him greatly. He is an independent Tom who loves to explore the neighborhood.Thank you for keeping an eye on him because he seems to love you guys a lot."Hey Amber, Gizmo's been good for keeping Briar around. Last night Briar Kitty tagged along to the Lamp Lighter Inn & Sunset Suites with me for a little getaway in Carmel-by-the-Sea. He is no stranger to this neck of the woods. We walked down to the beach, had a little bit of take out from Sushi Heaven, and enjoyed a quiet night in this quaint bed & breakfast.
Message from Asher:"Too cool. Taking a stroll up the Soberanes Canyon Trail last Sunday morning with my friends Steve & Gavin we saw something quite unusual. A gray & white cat comes strolling around a corner uphill of our position. Not sniff & stop, this cat was on a hike! Shortly behind him were his female companions (human). Jaws agape we look at each other and laugh, Briar has left his impression forever. What an awesome kitty! GO BRIAR."Thanks for your message Asher. I love hearing how Briar affects people, even if it is just a little smile. After you guys, we saw these other hikers that came upon us, "Woah, that's wierd, we were just talking about OUR cat!
