Around 4:30PM I received a phone call from my friend about a Briar sighting more than a couple blocks from my house. I drove around the area to try to find him before dark. There has been a mountain lion sighting in the area the last week, so I've been a little more "on it" about keeping him in when it gets dark. Usually if I don't keep him in around sunset, he ends up staying out a couple extra hours longer.
It was a full moon out. I had tried to sleep for a couple hours but it was so light out I was restless. It was about 12:00AM, and still no Briar or word of him. I grabbed my phone, put it near the bed. As soon as my hid hit the pillow, "Bah-ling!" my phone chimes with a new text message...

:::::: MSG RECEIVED 12:29AM ::::::

:::::: MSG RECEIVED 12:32AM ::::::
"Sounds like a cat to me! All the best. :)"
I drove down to the last known location. It was pretty bright out. I called him once, "Briar Kitty", and Briar runs out of the bushes right up to my leg. He was enthusiastic and happy. He jumped right in my car (probably relieved he didn't have to walk home).

Thanks for helping to get Briar home safe. He always seems to be drawn to the nicest people.
